Cebu is a major city in the Philippines, located on the island of Cebu and in the province of the same name. The coastal part of the city is fairly flat, but inland areas can reach altitudes of up to 800 meters (2,625 feet).
Cebu has a tropical climate, with fairly consistent temperatures throughout the year. The winter months are relatively dry, while the rest of the year sees frequent rainfall. Average annual precipitation exceeds 1500 mm (59 in). Tropical storms and typhoons can occur, particularly in the second half of the year. The average annual temperature is around 28°C (82°F).
On average, low temperatures stay around 22°C (72°F), while highs reach about 32°C (90°F). May is typically the hottest month. Cebu tends to remain wet and humid year-round, with humidity levels hovering around 80% for most of the year.
