Climate and Average Weather in French Polynesia

French Polynesia is made up of several groups of Polynesian islands, the most famous island being Tahiti. French Polynesia has a mix of tropical climate types and in the higher locations a subtropical climate. The best time to visit French Polynesia is during the cooler months, from June to October. The busiest season is Christmas as well as the months of January and February and the long summer holidays during July and August.
