Climate and Average Weather in El Salvador

El Salvador has a tropical climate with two seasons; a dry and wet season. The best time to visit El Salvador is at the beginning or the end of the dry season. The dry season lasts from November to April, and the rainy season lasts from May to October.

The temperature varies little with the change of seasons, however it is significantly lower in the higher mountain areas. The temperature is highest at the coast with an average of 30°C. Only during rainy season you will experience rainy days. These are often severe topical downpours in the late afternoon.
